COLOR TREATMENT – WATERPROOFING – OIL-REPELLENT – 0540

CHARACTERISTICS Treats, colors and gives a long-lasting patina to new or old terracotta. Available in Brick, Brown.

New terracotta: you find your terracotta floor too new, too light? You can color and patina it with the color treatment 0540 in Brown or Brick.

Old terracotta : you had to change or add new terracotta that you have to restock with the old ones ? You can use the color treatment 0540 Brown or Brick. This coloring treatment is formulated with the 0534 base (oil-repellent waterproofing treatment) with added pigments, which gives it a very good resistance to time and to U.V. without changing the appearance of the terracotta.

APPLICATION It is necessary that the terracotta is a little porous. On an old floor, first remove all previous treatments and finishes with 0901 Heavy Duty Cleaner. When the floor is clean and perfectly dry, it is advisable to apply a coat of treatment 0534 (see FT) to facilitate the application of the color treatment 0540, which will avoid any undesirable contrast. The color is modified by applying one or two coats of 0540 at 4 hour intervals. This product is applied with a wide brush, making sure to apply it in even layers to avoid any color difference. When the desired color is obtained, apply a final coat of treatment 0534. After 72 hours, or more depending on the ambient temperature, we can finish with our Carnauba wax emulsion 0722, very easy to maintain, which will give a satin aspect, or with our patina wax 0007, colorless encaustic which will give a much more sophisticated aspect, but of a more rigorous maintenance.

Cleaning of brushes: with White Spirit.

Coverage: 10 to 12 m2 per liter depending on porosity.
