PASTE PORE FILLER – 0511

CHARACTERISTICS
This product allows to fill the pores of the wood for a finish, either a buffer varnish, a cellulosic or polyurethane varnish, or a wax finish. This process is recommended for woods with large pores such as rosewood, mahogany and rosewood. It represents a significant time saving compared to the traditional method for furniture with a lot of mouldings or fluting. It is very stable over time. It is also used to make antique finishes on new furniture using the dark walnut color for filling wormholes as well as oxidants that imitate aging. It is available in colorless and in different shades: Golden Oak, Cherry, Mahogany, Dark Walnut. You can prepare your color yourself by adding in the Colorless Earths of decoration: red ochre, yellow, burnt umber, Natural… Do not use more than 20% of the total product to be stained, do not use solvent stains or fuchsins, which will stain the wood. Can be thinned with pore filler 0508.

APPLICATION
On clean and dry wood, with a wool pad covered with heavy canvas or burlap, soaked in filler 0508. Apply the paste filler in even, cross-coats without thickness, like a pumice filler. Press the pad well. Drying time: 4 to 8 hours, to let it dry well, then sand with “Steerater 320” sandpaper until the filler disappears superficially to avoid, when covering with a finish, making a veil that would mask the wood. Repeat the operation if necessary.

Tool cleaning: with White Spirit.

Yield: 5 to 8 m2 per kg.

STORAGE
Always repackage in a smaller package, adapted to the remaining quantity.
